Dance Program

Dancing is a highly physical activity, and kids who dance regularly should expect to see a significant improvement in their overall physical health. Our dance teacher repeats movements to improve muscle tone, correct poor posture, increase balance and coordination and improve overall cardiovascular health.

Dancing is an aerobic form of exercise. Dancing helps alleviate fears related to performing in front of an audience. Children who regularly participate in dancing typically tend to perform better academically.  Children at The Apple Tree Learning Centers adjust to the movements and postures required in dance, they begin to get a better sense of their bodies. As they become more comfortable in their own skin, their confidence and self-esteem also improve. These are just some of the main key points in dancing for your children that we focus on here at The Apple Tree Learning Centers.

Make Way For Books

The Apple Tree Learning Centers employs highly trained teachers that expose children to language by hearing words that are read to him and in conversation tend to do well in our pre-school program. Reading promotes longer attention span, which is an important skill for your kid to be able to concentrate at school and at home. Reading will also build listening skills and imagination. Reading to your children provides an easier way of learning about colors, shapes, numbers, and letters, and in the future expand their chain of knowledge.  A young boy who loves cars, for example, will expand to his interest in trucks, and other transportation like planes and rockets, and soon he will be reading about outer space, science and technology, and so forth.

Music Program

The Apple Tree Learning Centers music program will boost your child’s brain power. Music stimulates parts of the childs brain that are related to reading, math, and emotional development. Memorization is also a great benefit of music. Children that are exposed to the same songs everyday tend to work on memorization. Socially, children who become involved in music or ensemble, learn important life skills, such as how to relate to others, how to work as a team and appreciate the rewards that come from working together, and the development of leadership skills and discipline.

Sign Language Program

All of our classrooms at The Apple Tree Learning Centers incorporate sign language, even with infants. Many of the tantrums that children throw during the day is because the lack not knowing how to communicate their needs and wants. By giving children the gift of sign language as an early communication tool, you may see a decrease in tantrum behavior as he/she will be able to communicate to you more effectively than with speech and gesture alone. Using and understanding sign language requires a child to utilize his visual and joint attention skills, both of which are very important skills in both learning and social interactions. We want your children to go out of the box and work on these skills which will help you and us understand them.

Spanish Program

Children are always discovering new things, but learning a new language is a uniquely rewarding experience at any age. At The Apple Tree Learning Centers children get the feeling of accomplishment that comes with their first steps toward a second language can spur them on to a deeper and broader passion for learning in general. And because children are at a special “window of opportunity” in which language learning is intuitive and natural, the ease and pleasure of the experience may boost their confidence and their desire for new discoveries. It provides greater opportunities for college and careers. Colleges now place an increasingly high value on knowledge of more than one language. As the admissions process becomes more competitive across the board, knowing a second or a third language adds a new dimension to an applicant’s resume. Teachers here at The Apple Tree Learning Centers want to give that big first step with your child and direct them to the road of success.
